EX Healthcare, which developed the world's first "skin exozoal miRNA (microRNA) boosting" technology, is preparing to enter the U.S. market in the first half of this year. Although it is a start-up company entering its third year this year, it is the result of developing core technologies that are difficult to match during the business period.

Ex Healthcare, a bio-healthcare solution developer, was established at the Seongnam Global Convergence Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, in January 2022.

After developing the world's first skin exozoal miRNA boosting technology, the Dermapit brand was established. Since then, medical cosmetics, health functional foods, bioIt is expanding into pharmaceutical and medical devices without hesitation. Currently, it is preparing to launch overseas markets by giving differentiation from Dermapit brands.

EX Healthcare is a female CEO company. CEO Lee Yong-hee, who leads the company, is a former AmorePacific Cosmetics Research Institute.

 

CEO Lee, who wanted to pioneer a new type of inner health field based on his long career and know-how, found a thin clue from exosomes to inner health, which transmit signals between organs and between cells and cells. He, who fell into the mysterious ability of exosomes secreted from the skin, began full-scale research and succeeded in developing skin exosomal miRNA boosting technology. This is a new technology that boosts exosomes secreted by skin cells and delivers them to specific body parts.

Biohealthcare innovation solutions using advanced exosome technology and miRNA technology have created 'applied healthcare products'. Previously, several companies have introduced numerous products for skin and muscle-strengthening products, but it was difficult to find products that made muscles healthy by applying them directly to the skin.

In fact, it is evaluated that EX Healthcare was first introduced. The first healthcare brand to be ambitious is 'dermaFIT', and there are three types: ▲Basic, ▲Athlete, and ▲Slim.

CEO Lee explained, "miRNA moves through a carrier called exosome. Dermapit products have a unique technology that allows many specific miRNAs to be secreted among microRNAs in exosomes secreted from the skin that control signals that realize the effect of preventing muscle loss."

The domestic research clinical trial was completed in 2021. ▲ It has also been certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) OTC, and prominent overseas organizations such as EVE Vegan in France and Dermatest in Germany. Lee also secured five domestic and foreign patents, while registering a total of 12 trademark rights and designs for commercialization.

Within three months of establishing the corporation in 2022, EX Healthcare, led by CEO Lee, succeeded in attracting investment by beating other participating companies with excellent business experience in the initial start-up package organized by In & Out Corporation (N15). In recognition of its technological prowess and growth potential, it was also selected for 20 government-supported projects within a year of its founding.

In addition to attracting investment since its foundation, EX Healthcare, which has been selected for its initial start-up package and Seongnam start-up competition (challenge! S-start-up), Incheon Start-up Park's "Start-up Madang with Young People," overseas branching projects, and export tapping companies, was also selected as IBK Changgong, which IBK Industrial Bank selected fostering companies in the first half of last year. This means that both technology and marketability have been recognized.

 

In October of the same year, he participated in the "World Korean Business Competition" in Anaheim, Orange County, California, with other companies in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. The Global Korean Business Competition, where a network is established between overseas Korean businessmen and domestic businessmen working around the world, has been an opportunity to promote the excellence of the product to foreign countries and check its competitiveness. At the same time, it also served as a starting point for strengthening overseas export marketing capabilities, discovering buyers, and pioneering overseas market sales.

X Healthcare is expanding day by day. EX Healthcare, which is providing health to patients and the elderly as well as the general public by developing products with endless medical potential, is preparing to enter the global market. It has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dalton bioanalytic, a California-based company, and is gradually laying the foundation for entering the U.S. market by signing industry-academia cooperation with CALUMS, a university in the same region.

In particular, it is receiving purchase requests and partnership offers from various overseas companies such as the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Japan, which are expecting new potential for miRNA. It is EX Healthcare as it has already been recognized globally for its excellence in "root loss prevention cream" in the global market as a sample product along with technical certification. It is also focusing on high-end and differentiation of brands, such as improving packaging design with luxurious molds, and is entering overseas markets in earnest.

 

EX Healthcare is also preparing to launch Dermapit later this year while focusing more on research and development to drive market trends. It is focusing on rebranding as well as scientific verification to increase the reliability and attractiveness of products targeting U.S. consumers.
