EXHealthcare is a company dedicated to researching and developing bio-healthcare technologies based on Exosomal miRNA technology.
The company’s original miRNA boosting technology is an innovative approach that amplifies exosomes secreted by skin cells and delivers them to specific body parts. EXHealthcare has pioneered the world’s first skin exosomal miRNA boosting technology, securing five domestic and international patents along with 12 trademarks and design registrations for commercialization. They have also completed FDA OTC registration in the United States.
Founded in January 2022 at the Seongnam Global Convergence Center in Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, EXHealthcare is making strides in the bio-healthcare field.
Lee Yong-hee, CEO of EXHealthcare, remarked, "As our research achievements and product capabilities gain recognition in the industry, we are receiving proactive interest from major global distribution companies. However, rather than pursuing meaningless expansions of distribution networks, we are focusing on firmly establishing our presence in the market and ensuring that consumers clearly recognize the value of our product line.”
He added, "Our primary goal is to create an environment where customers can fully appreciate the technical characteristics of our products and share in the benefits of biomedicine technology. We believe that only with confidence in product competitiveness and feedback from expert groups can our offerings establish themselves as essential products for human health."
The decision to develop “skin exosomal miRNA boosting technology” and healthcare items based on it stemmed from CEO Lee Yong-hee’s personal experiences. A former cosmetics researcher at a major corporation, Lee utilized his extensive career and expertise to venture into the inner-health field with innovative solutions, finding inspiration in exosomes.
Exosomes are often referred to as "delivery boxes" that transfer signals between organs and cells. Inspired by exosomes secreted from the skin, Lee delved into research and development, focusing on the functionality and efficacy of exosomes to bring new technology to life.
EXHealthcare proudly unveiled dermaFIT, a healthcare brand built on skin exosomal miRNA boosting technology. The brand’s first product line, a topical muscle loss prevention cream, comes in three variations: Basic, Athlete, and Slim. These products completed domestic clinical trials for research purposes last year and have acquired various international certifications, including FDA OTC (USA), EVE Vegan (France), and dermatest (Germany).
In addition to medical cosmetics powered by biotechnologies, EXHealthcare is venturing into the health functional food (HFF) market as another growth engine. Leveraging its proprietary technologies, the company plans to incorporate them into HFF products to support individuals with critical nutritional needs for treatment or health maintenance.
CEO Lee explained, “We aim to commercialize products that leverage the body’s ability to naturally express beneficial components through exosome miRNA boosting technology. Unlike traditional approaches of ingesting food or medicine containing these beneficial components, we will develop HFF products based on plant extracts that stimulate the body to generate these effective substances internally.”
He elaborated, "This underscores our commitment to promoting internal signal transmission systems within the human body, enabling individuals to achieve health independently."
Since its establishment in January 2022, EXHealthcare has been recognized for its corporate competitiveness through successful investment rounds and selection for programs such as the Initial Startup Package, the Seongnam Startup Contest (Challenge! S-Startup), and the Youth Entrepreneurship Marketplace hosted by Incheon Startup Park. The company was also chosen for the Overseas Branch Establishment Program and the Export Do Dream initiative.
To date, EXHealthcare has filed and registered 14 intellectual property rights domestically and internationally. Based on these achievements, they have launched the topical healthcare brand dermaFIT and are preparing to enter the U.S. market through crowdfunding on Indiegogo.
